Event Website — Complete Guide
How the Event Website add-on works: your own link, the full schedule, our story, travel and stay, dress code, FAQ, photo gallery, guestbook, background music and save-the-date.

The Event Website add-on gives one event its own page at a link you choose — …/celebrate/rahul-weds-priya — with everything guests keep asking about. It sits alongside the invitation, which stays private and personal.

Getting it live
- Open your event in the studio and go to the Website tab.
- Write the sections. The written parts save while the add-on is still locked, so you can draft first and decide later. (Photos and music need the unlock — they use storage.)
- Choose your web address. Letters, numbers and hyphens; we tidy it up and add a short suffix if someone already has it.
- Unlock the website — a one-time payment for this event, shown before you pay.
- Publish the invitation (the Share tab). The website is live once both are done.
The order does not matter, but both steps are required: an unlocked website on an unpublished invitation returns “not available”, and so does a published invitation with no website unlocked.
Privacy controls
Three switches, all in the Website tab:
- Let people find this page on Google — off by default. On, we add it to our sitemap and allow indexing. Off, the page still works for anyone with the link.
- Show the full venue address and map — off by default, so the page shows the venue name only. That keeps a public page from carrying your exact location.
- Let visitors sign the guestbook — on by default. Off closes it; on lets you moderate.
Regardless of these settings, the website never shows your guest list, your contact number, or your UPI details. Those stay on the private invitation.
The gallery
Available once the website is unlocked. PNG, JPG, WebP or AVIF, up to 5 MB each, up to the gallery limit shown in the studio. Reorder with the Earlier / Later controls — the first photo leads the gallery.
Write captions. They are shown to guests and read out by screen readers, and they are what a search engine understands the photo to be.
Background music
Available once the website is unlocked. MP3, M4A, AAC or OGG up to 6 MB. Guests get a normal player and choose whether to listen; nothing plays on its own. Only upload music you have the right to use — a recording you own or licensed audio. Popular film songs are usually not free to republish.
Save the date
Once the invitation is published, the Website tab can email a save-the-date to every guest with an address on file: the date, an add-to-calendar link and your website address. Send it to new guests only, or to everyone again.
It is worth sending four to six months ahead when guests have to travel — long before the full invitation goes out.
After the event
The website stays online. Add your thank-you message (Design tab) and your photographs, and the link everyone already has becomes the album. New guestbook messages stop once the event has ended, and what is already there remains.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the event website the same as the invitation?
- No. The invitation is private — each guest gets their own link and RSVPs there. The event website is one shared page everyone can open and forward: the schedule, your story, travel notes, dress code, FAQ, gallery and guestbook.
- When do I pay, and how much?
- Once per event, when you unlock the website. The exact amount is shown in the studio before you pay and depends on the kind of event. It is never a subscription, and editing the website afterwards costs nothing.
- Can I write the website before I pay?
- Yes — every written section (your story, travel notes, dress code, FAQ, the web address) saves while the add-on is still locked, and unlocking publishes what you have already written. Photos and background music are the exception: those need the website unlocked, because they use storage.
- Why is my website showing a 404?
- The website goes live only once the invitation itself is published. Unlock plus publish equals live; either one missing means the link returns "not available".
- Is my guest list visible on the website?
- Never. The website does not carry your guest list, your phone number or your UPI details. The venue address is hidden too unless you switch it on.
- Can I stop someone from posting in the guestbook?
- Yes. Turn the guestbook off entirely, or leave it on and hide or delete individual messages from the Website tab. Hidden messages disappear from the public page immediately.
- What happens to the website after the event?
- It stays up as a keepsake with your thank-you message and photographs. Guest RSVP links close after the event as usual, and the guestbook stops accepting new messages.
