Digital Visiting Card — Complete Guide
How the digital card works: your link and QR, tap-to-act buttons, saving to contacts, NFC tags, enquiries, privacy controls and the annual plan.

A digital card is one page at …/c/your-name holding your photo, what you do, and every way to reach you. You share it as a link or a QR; the person you meet taps once to call, message or save you to their contacts.
Setting it up
- Create the card with your name, what you do and your company.
- Add buttons in the Buttons tab — phone, WhatsApp, email, website, socials, directions, UPI. Each becomes a tile.
- Pick a theme and, if you like, an accent colour.
- Publish. Until you do, the link returns “card unavailable” — a draft is private to you.

Reorder them with the arrows; the first few matter most, because they are what people see without scrolling. Each tile counts its taps, so you can see which ones people actually use.
Save to contacts
The big button downloads a vCard containing your name, title, company, phone, email, website, photo — and a link back to your card. That last part matters: when your number changes, whoever saved you still has a link to the current details.
Your QR code
The Share tab shows your QR and downloads it as a PNG. Print it on a paper card, a shop window, a delivery box or an invoice. It points at your card rather than at your details directly, so you can change your number without reprinting anything.
NFC tags
Buy any blank NFC sticker (NTAG213/215/216 — a pack costs very little). On an Android phone, open the Share tab, tap Write to tag and hold the sticker against the back of the phone. Anyone can then tap the sticker with a modern phone to open your card.
This only works in Chrome, Edge, Opera and Samsung Internet on Android, so the button is hidden elsewhere.
Enquiries
If you leave messages on, visitors get a short form. You are emailed each one and they collect in the Share tab, where you can call back, mark them done, or delete them.
Those details belong to the visitor: the form says so plainly before they type, you are responsible for what you do with them, and deleting a message removes it for good.
Privacy controls
Hide my number until someone taps — the number is never written into the page; it is fetched on an explicit tap, which is rate-limited. This is the setting that keeps your number away from anything harvesting pages in bulk.
Let search engines list this card — off by default. Your card always works by link; this only decides whether it may be indexed.
Let visitors send me a message — turn the enquiry form on or off.
The verified badge
If your account email is at a work domain, your card can show “Email verified at yourcompany.com”. That is a literal statement of what we checked. We do not verify identity, job titles or employment, and the badge never implies otherwise. Personal Gmail-style addresses do not qualify, because proving one says nothing about where you work.
The plan
The free card is a real card — page, QR, vCard, buttons and enquiries — with a small credit line from us at the bottom. The paid plan, billed once a year, adds your own web address, removes the credit line, and lets you hold more cards.
If a plan lapses, the card carries on at the free level. Nothing is deleted.
Frequently asked questions
- Does the person I share my card with need an app?
- No. They open a link in whatever browser they already have, and saving your contact downloads a standard vCard that every phone understands. Nothing to install on either side.
- What is the difference between the free and paid plans?
- A free card gives you the page, the QR, the contact download and the enquiry form, with a small credit line from us at the bottom. The paid plan is one payment a year: you choose your own web address, the credit line goes, and you can hold more cards.
- Can I use this with an NFC card or sticker?
- Yes, and you buy the sticker yourself — any blank NTAG213, NTAG215 or NTAG216 will do. Open the Share tab on an Android phone, tap "Write to tag" and hold the sticker to the back of the phone. We sell the software, not the plastic.
- Why is the "write to tag" button missing?
- Writing an NFC tag from a web page only works in Chrome, Edge, Opera and Samsung Internet on Android. On an iPhone or a desktop the button is hidden rather than shown and then failing.
- How do I keep my phone number away from scrapers?
- Turn on "Hide my number until someone taps". The number is then left out of the page entirely and fetched only when a visitor deliberately asks for it, which is rate-limited. Search indexing is off by default too.
- What exactly does the verified badge prove?
- That you control an email address at that domain — nothing else. It is not a check of your identity, your job title or your employer, and the badge is worded so it cannot be read that way.
- What happens to my card if I stop paying?
- It keeps working. The card drops back to the free plan: the credit line returns and the paid extras pause. Nothing is deleted, so renewing restores everything exactly as it was.
